I hope you are all enjoying your summers despite the heavy rains we've been experiencing throughout the five-state area. Our thoughts are with our Clovia sisters and the families and neighbors who experienced flooding that impacted their homes and livelihoods. Money Matters Under the leadership of Kathy Michaelson '73, Clovia Foundation Board of Trustees for the Beta Chapter of Clovia Education and Scholarship Funds has informally agreed upon a partner to manage our investments once our 501(c)(3) status is granted by the IRS. The application was submitted in early September 2023 and generally takes 8-10 months for approval, so we anticipate hearing back no later than August. Once received, we can quickly open an account to transfer our current investments from the University of Minnesota Foundation. Stay tuned for updates in the monthly Clovia Short Clips! Mark your Calendars Founders' Day is slated for Saturday morning, October 19, via Zoom. The start time is TBD. We alternate between in-person and teleconferencing meetings each year to provide access to sisters who cannot travel to an in- person meeting. Once technology improves, we plan to offer a quality hybrid meeting option. Clovia Love, Maureen Meier '75 Board President maureen.meier75@gmail.com
