We once again became the first Iron Phi chapter and finished second overall in total fundraising. We raised over $30,000 for our Iron Phi challenge and donated the funds to ALS research. Our chapter leads the nation in the number of Adopt-a-Families (four) and earned a "Triple Crown" from Global Headquarters. We appreciate this opportunity to connect with individuals either suffering from or affected by ALS. rough this program, we have been able to serve our community and support these families through kickball exhibitions, Christmas decorations, yard work, and even a full deck repair. We also held a pickleball tournament to help raise funds for Live Like Lou. EXECUTIVE BOARD We recently added a public relations chairman to the executive board. is has helped to delegate communicative tasks so other board members can focus on specific roles. We now have a dedicated voice that communicates with the chapter and receives the input and criticism we need to continually improve the member experience. We have seen great success in getting underclassmen to buy into the executive system through smaller roles assisting the secretary, treasurer, brotherhood chairman, and others. Due to this, positions on the executive board have become increasingly competitive, and we are confident that these roles are filled with brothers who are the best fit. ACADEMICS We earned first and fourth among fraternities at UGA across both semesters. Additionally, we held the second- highest new member GPA, a testament to the quality of our Phikeia education program and our collective focus on academic accountability. FINANCIALS For the first time, our annual budget surpassed $500,000. Bylaw changes addressing financial responsibility and budgeting have enabled us to roll over a surplus across both semesters. e efficient allocation of resources has improved all aspects of fraternity life, including service, social events, brotherhood, and recruitment. RECRUITMENT With pledge classes of 41 and 34 over the past two years, our membership is also stronger than ever. We plan to recruit up to 50 Phikeia in fall 2024, aiming to maintain a steady member count of 140, aligning us with the largest chapters on campus. We started the recruitment process early, hosting events in the latter part of the spring. Our summer schedule includes events at off-campus houses, which will allow the recruitment team members to connect with potential new members. By the time the recruitment team moves back into the chapter house in June, new student orientation will have begun. Due to this, we have events scheduled for these men each weekend to get to know the PNMs and determine if they are a fit for our chapter. We'll end the summer with our formal recruitment week. Our recruitment team—Bennett Denker #2653, Chris McDonald #2694, Craig Steinhauer #2687, Devin Patel #2688, Eric Hott #2679, Riley Davis #2690, Roshan Bhandari #2708, and Jackson Mercer #2678—is excited to get further into the recruitment process and meet all the potential Phi Delts. BROTHERHOOD We are committed to cultivating events that promote individual growth, strengthen pledge classes, and unite us. is fall, our activities will center around tailgates before each home UGA football game and weekly Friday afternoon gatherings to kick off the weekend. It's essential to integrate our incoming pledge class early on, showcasing the benefits of our chapter and the value of fraternity brotherhood. By semester's end, we aim to have grown closer as a unified group, cherishing the camaraderie and bonds forged among our brothers. THANK YOU! Overall, the chapter has never been stronger. e hard work of our former presidents, Jack Tucker #2590 and Reed Stout #2538, has set in motion lasting changes, and our focus is on implementing permanent changes that will benefit future undergraduates long after our terms. We are deeply grateful for the support from our CAB and general alumni and look forward to another exceptional year! Yours in the Bond, Jack Vaught #2606, President Drew Pinkstaff #2603, Vice President Jackson Mercer #2678, Recruitment Chairman Joseph Lippe #2686, Philanthropy Chairman Will Howley #2673, Brotherhood Chairman Georgia Alpha Continues to Excel Updates from the Executive Officers Collegians dress to impress at our Founders Day celebration.
