Ruth Westervelt Schneider '41 entered Chapter Eternal on September 18, 2023. Ruth married Clifford Schneider in 1954. They had two sons, Jonathan and Andrew. Ruth was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Peoria. She also served for many years in the Methodist Hospital Service League. In her community, she served as president of the Current Events Club and was a member of the Junior League, Chapter EF of the PEO Sisterhood, the Illinois Opera, Peoria Symphony, Lakeview Museum, and the Country Club of Peoria. Beverly Rodolf Dale '43 entered Chapter Eternal on September 4, 2023. Following college, she later moved to New York City, where she graduated from the Tobé Coburn School for Fashion Careers and worked in the merchandising department of Glamour Magazine. In 1946, she married her husband, Stephen, with whom she had five children. Beverly was involved in her community, serving on many boards and supporting many Tulsa art organizations. She later opened an art business with partners called January Gallery. As a writer, she won first place and several honorable mentions in the Tulsa Library Children's story writing competitions. She was also the entertaining editor of Tulsalite magazine and the home editor for Tulsa People Magazine. Eva McDuff '50 entered Chapter Eternal on November 14, 2023. Peggy Cox Oden '52 entered Chapter Eternal on October 26, 2023. She married her husband, Charles, in 1955. She worked as an elementary school teacher for eight years before becoming a stay-at-home mom. While raising her five children, she earned a master's degree in education with an emphasis in library science from the University of Arizona. She worked as a school librarian at many TUSD elementary schools. Peggy was an avid volunteer, serving as a 4-H leader, Girl Scout leader, room mother, and PTA president. As a cancer survivor, she also volunteered with the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Mary Patsy Ackley '61 entered Chapter Eternal on March 5, 2023. After college, she earned a Master of Arts in education from Arizona State University before later earning her Juris Doctorate from Southwestern School of Law and passing the California and Arizona bar exams. After law school, she taught college courses at junior colleges in Los Angeles and later at Phoenix College. Ann Dunsmore '73 entered Chapter Eternal on February 28, 2024. After earning her degree in accounting, she moved to Colorado, where she worked for the IRS and eventually had her own CPA business before returning to Arizona. Ann loved connecting with others and being an advisor and advocate. She enjoyed playing bridge, card games, and Rummikub. KAPPA KAPPA GAMMA 3 Alumnae represent Arizona! Jan Ratts Rosenberg '53 is an active advisor for the State Rules Committee of DKG (an International Honorary for Women Educators) and a past state president. She likes to attend the Kappa Lunch Brunch and alumna association events when possible. She resides in Tucson, Ariz. She also enjoys going to the Lake of the Ozarks and supporting KCMO Police Foundation and Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City. She resides in Kansas City, Mo. Email: five-kingers@yahoo.com Heather Hach Hearne '90 shares that her adult debut novel just came out. The Trouble with Drowning is a psychological thriller set in Tucson. "A few Kappas have enthusiastically read it." Heather is working on setting up some readings in Tucson. She resides in Manhattan Beach, Calif. Email: hhach6310@gmail.com Elizabeth Denton Furlan '03 recently celebrated her 18th year of remission. She was diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia in her senior year.
