K
appa Delta participated in and hosted a multitude of events
during the spring 2024 semester. First up was Bid Day, where we
welcomed 12 new members with the theme Snow Place Like Home.
Our next highlight was Late Night Dinner. During Shamrock Week, an
annual philanthropy event, we host a dinner fundraiser where Kappa
Deltas spend their evening selling themed treats to members of the
Mizzou community. This year, the theme was Camp Kaydee, so we
sold hotdogs and s'mores.
In an effort to bring together the fall and spring classes of 2023, our
VP of learning and development hosted a sisterhood event where
members could make charm necklaces and get to know each other.
Other social events included Crush Party, our annual Valentine's
social; Marriage Party, which is a joint social with our paired fraternity
for Greek Week; and our spring semi-formal event, Flock.
The 2024 Greek Week events included a blood drive, fundraisers, a
canned food drive, and sports competitions. This year, we placed
third overall with a variety of placements in other categories!
We also greatly enjoyed hosting a few events for our local Girl Scout
Troops! For the first, we created a Build-a-Bear workshop where
members and Girl Scouts got to make and dress a bear. Next, we
held a friendship event that focused on building confidence and
sharing Kappa Delta's values.
Thank you for continuing to support our sisterhood!
