These past few years, our relationship with Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS), a nonprofit dedicated to providing young kids with needed role models, has continued to grow with every event. The Gamma Gamma Chapter has taken tremendous pride in providing time and memories to these young kids in every event the ATO chapter does to- gether. Once again this year we planned another BBBS Christmas party for the youngsters and their families, and another BBBS Neon Bowling Night event this Spring Quarter. The BBBS Christmas party was once again a great time. Nearing the end of the fall quarter, the new 2023 pledges were able to participate in their first philanthropic event with the entire chapter. The chapter donated two bikes and $500 in other presents to these young kids, along with blankets and memories they'll remember hopefully forev- er. Fall Day of Service and Spring Day of Service, through Rose-Hulman, are two of our favorite philanthropic events as a chapter. We always pull together at least 20-30 broth- ers to go out in the community and plant trees, pick trash up off the streets, or plant the flowers you see scattered around campus. This year, we started to incorporate new types of philan- thropic events for the chapter. We have started reaching out to the Indiana State University sororities for socials and philanthropic events. So far this year, we have had three events with three different ISU sororities. We had great feedback and, as a chapter, have decided to continue scheduling events this next year. It took some time to get moving earlier in the school year, but we finished out the year with 1,360 service hours split between the brothers in the chapter. Looking forward to next Fall, we are making plans to exceed 1,500 service hours as a chapter next year. More importantly, we get to experience and see firsthand the impact we are making in the local community and hope that influences our members to be positive community role models in the future. - Logan Faulkenberg '26 Social Service and Public Relations Officer \\\\\\\\\\\\ BROTHERS \\\\\\\\\\\\ IN THE COMMUNITY Social Services Update 2024 Rose-Hulman Spring Day of Service 2023-24 BBBS Christmas Party Sigma Kappa Sketti Social
