CHAPTER GRAND
Eric R. Heller '72 entered Chapter Grand on March 9, 2024, at the age of
74. After graduating from DePauw University, Eric earned his MBA from
Bellarmine University. He served for six years as a Navy Seabee, then in
1979, Eric moved to Holland to work at Herman Miller, where he had many
roles throughout his 25-year career.
Eric was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, and his many interests
included studying genealogy, playing the clarinet, doing puzzles, fishing with
his son, and planning family trips. Eric also served as president of the board of
directors for the Harbor Humane Society and was instrumental in constructing
its new building in 1988.
He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 51 years, Megan; son Grant (Sylvia);
beloved grandchildren Selena and Sylvan; siblings Lisa (Mike), Mark (Lisa),
and Susan (Dave); and nine nieces and nephews.

52 years of practice as an OB-GYN at
Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, Calif.
He recently moved to a retirement home
in Beaumont, Texas, and met many new

John F. Stevenson '81 and seven other brothers in the bond from the classes of 1979 to 1984 recently met up for a reunion ski trip
in Keystone, Colo. The group has been skiing together in various configurations since 1978. The March 2024 team included David
S. Dewey '83, Stuart B. Smith '84, Edward K. MacDonald III '80, Thomas L. Vear '80, Brian M. Wolf '81, Dr. Robert Lewis '84,
Thomas B. Shearman III '79, and Scott Sims, who is married to Susan Stevenson, class of 1982. When he isn't on the slopes, John

working and traveling. He lives in Lee's

Daniel J. Elmore '94 retired from the
medical device business after nearly three
decades. He was a longtime investor
during that period, and he now travels the
world with his "Polish princess." When they
are at home, the couple lives in Carmel,
