IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY | 3 JANUARY As spring began, Pikes embraced fresh ideas and new leadership with enthusiasm, determined to sustain their momentum. Kicking off with a vibrant Glow in the Dark Dodgeball social event on January 23 with AΟΠ, ΔΧ, and Triangle, PIKE showcased its commitment to building strong community relations through spirited competition and teamwork. Multiple events were aimed at strengthening bonds among members. These gatherings were crucial for nurturing relationships, particularly with brothers less known to one another, and welcoming potential new members by giving them a glimpse into fraternity life. On January 29, brothers participated in the first lip-sync practice for Greek Week, selecting The Addams Family as their theme. The practice session was engaging and helped forge connections with Greek Week co-chairs. FEBRUARY was a busy month, beginning with members attending PIKE U in Chicago. The fraternity also focused on professional development by conducting a résumé review workshop to prepare for upcoming career fairs and enhance members' employability. For philanthropy, PIKE organized a fundraiser for the HAMO Foundation, which raised $1,070 through a donut sale and also served as an opportunity to promote mental health awareness. Social interactions continued with a Valentine's Day event co-hosted with Pi Beta Phi and involved cookie decorating and a spinoff of the popular trivia game Family Feud. MARCH saw a unique murder mystery event with Kappa Delta, which included an interactive clue-finding game that doubled as a creative house tour. This was followed by a community service initiative at the Gilbert High Prom where PIKE volunteered in various activities, earning appreciation for their contributions and reinforced their positive community presence. In APRIL, the Pikes also had their first philanthropy inside the house called "Pike-N- Out," were on-campus members served burgers and fries to the Ames community while raising money for the HAMO Foundation once again. Overall, these activities reflect PIKE's dynamic approach to fraternity life as they balance social engagement, educational development, philanthropy, and community service, all while fostering a strong internal community and external partnerships.
