What a dull and pointless life it would be if everyone was the same." ~ Angelina Jolie | C VFW 769 A VFW Auxiliary install new officers Tenants only meeting is free of charge to attend. Please bring a pen and paper. You can ask questions about leases, managers, owners, evictions, diminished amenties and services, time limits for notices to vacate, park rules, discrimination, mail delivery, and much more. We will be answering questions and empowering you with actions you can take according to the AZ RV ACT at www.azleg.gov/arstitle Title 33 Chapter 19. Anyone who owns a recreational vehicle in an RV park, such as a fifth wheel, trailer, motorhome, or park model, AND has resided there for more than 180 consecutive days is protected by the laws that Arizona Association of Manufactured Home Owners (AAMHO) helped pass. Your investment in your full-time home or snowbird paradise should be protected. You should be able to continue enjoying your community. Because some seniors have been forced out of their retirement "homes", relocation and walk-away funds now exist. AAMHO, our only liaison to the Arizona legislature, recently got a law passed to protect seniors in manufactured housing from heat-related deaths. They are also working on rent caps for seniors, mandatory train- ing for managers, and criminal background checks for RV park staff. They network with several other organizations who provide free and low-cost services. Non-profit donations are welcome. Visit www.AAMHO.org for more information. Hosted by Terri Newlon, AAMHO District 6 Director, Advocate for La Paz and Yuma Counties.
