THE TOMAHAWK 2 Alpha Mu Chapter A lpha Mu is thriving at Iowa State and within the Theta Chi community Not only has our chapter grown in membership numbers, but our presence in the Ames and Greek community has grown (accompanied by widespread positive recognition) Thriving BroThers At the Iowa State Fraternal Awards of Excellence, Alpha Mu won the Civic Engagement award and the Gold Circle, the second-highest tier for all Greek life Members are also making an impact: Kode Banwart '24 was recognized as Fraternity and Sorority Community Member of the Year and Jack Van De Krol '27 as the Freshman of the Year Our brothers have many leadership roles within the Greek and greater ISU communities Caleb Askelson '25 is currently the IFC's VP of Philanthropy, and Chris Banwart '24 is Vice President of Order of Omega (which includes many more of our brothers) Chapter morale is so positive that we had to increase the capacity of the chapter house—and we still don't have enough room for all the members who want to live in-house home UpdaTes and Beyond As for the chapter house itself, we are excited for a summer of modern, academic renovations We are planning a full re-do and outfitting of the first-floor conference room and basement study rooms, with new furniture and updated technology to suit the study needs of our growing chapter We are also getting new desks and chairs for each individual study room This is sure to appeal to new members and has already sparked excitement for the fall semester The entire undergraduate chapter is blown away by the generosity of our alumni We deeply appreciate those who have supported Alpha Mu now and throughout the years to make these updates possible, as well as the numerous scholarship opportunities available for undergraduate members As the executive board concludes the first quarter of our terms, we are eager to see the heights that Alpha Mu can reach through our tireless efforts (from undergraduates and alumni alike) We are in a great position to benefit the lives of our members and the community, and we know that countless new achievements and successes lie ahead for the men of Theta Chi Fraternally, Jacob Feldmann '23 Chapter President Brothers Grow in Quality—Not Just Quantity ALPHA MU ON THE RISE President Jacob Feldmann '23 Vice President Joseph Hansen '23 Vice President of Health and Safety Ashton Belknap '23 Secretary Jack Van De Krol '24 Treasurer Evan Murnane '23 Marshal Luke Klipping '24 Chaplain Kyler Pittman '23 Recruitment Chairmen Cale Engebretson '23 Ryan Naeve '26 Scholarship Chairman Preston Wojick '24 Chapter Officers Chapter Officers Our flag football team celebrates victory after a close intramural playoff game.
