PAGE 3 Delta Delta Delta Recruitment and New Members We are happy to announce that we recruited many new members during the fall 2023 and spring 2024 semesters. In the fall, we welcomed 12 new members through COB. We had a retro diner- themed Bid Day, and our new members were the cherries on top! In the spring, we welcomed 47 new members through formal recruitment and 11 through COB. Our Bid Day theme was underwater, and our new members were our treasure. We are incredibly excited about all our new recruits who have completed their new member periods and are officially initiated. Philanthropy In October, we partnered with Lambda Chi Alpha to host a clothing drive. We collected clothing donations across campus, sorted and priced the items, and then hosted the sale. All unsold clothing items were donated to various organizations on and off campus. We raised $1,040. In November, we set out to raise funds in our $5K in a Day Event. We ended up surpassing our goal, raising $18,565 in 24 hours for St. Jude. All our philanthropy success can be attributed to the hard work of Isabelle Erskine '26 and Elizabeth Navarro '27. Debbie Witschen, the mother of a St. Jude patient who passed away in 2010, spoke during a chapter meeting in November. Events Fall 2023 events ranged from sisterhood, to wellness, to social-centered activities. The chapter's favorite sisterhood event was our bouquet-making session, where we sourced flowers from a local florist and got together to make bouquets. This event was largely successful due to the hard work of Lily Nicholson '26, one of our sisterhood chairmen. Right before finals week, we had a wellness event that included a cookie decorating competition. This was a great event for our sisters to come together and unwind before the stress of exams. Our social events included two date nights and one formal. Sisters enjoyed dressing up, dancing, and coming together to celebrate different milestones throughout the semester.
