M O R E T H A N A S I S T E R H O O D Erin Collins Hofmann '89 Shares Her Goals for Pansy Pals ΔΔΔ page 3 T he summer before her freshman year of college, Erin Collins Hofmann '89 worked as a lifeguard with a Tri Delta sister at Town and Country Racquet Club in St. Louis. "I remember being so in awe of her," Erin said. "She was smart, laid back, fun, and very proud to be a Tri Delta—she was the reason I knew I wanted to live at 901 Richmond even before recruitment had started." Erin's fondest memories of her Tri Delta days include Bid Day, tailgating, Greek Week, and hanging out in the sun room. As an alumna, she lived with her Tri Delta "mom" and "grandma" at different times. In October 2022, she traveled back to Columbia for a football game and got to catch up with many of her pledge sisters. Erin had so much fun during the trip that she wanted to get more involved with Delta Xi. She has had a great experience volunteering from her home in Jackson, Wyoming. "Being able to participate remotely is easy—I highly recommend it." Working on starting the Pansy Pals program at Delta Xi, Erin recognizes that alumnae have knowledge and connections in the professional world and can provide references, career opportunities, and general mentorship for soon-to-be alumnae. It's not just about connecting alumnae and collegians, though. Erin also believes that Pansy Pals would be a great resource for the children of Delta Xi sisters who lost their lives too soon. "Being a Tri Delta is more than a sisterhood; it's making yourself available for those in need. So if we could provide guidance to a survivor in a safe place, then we should." When she's not volunteering with Tri Delta, Erin works in marketing at HP. Prior to her current position, she worked at Microsoft. In both roles, she worked with retailers, including Amazon and Best Buy. Erin loves to travel, see friends and family, enjoy great food and drinks, play golf, and hike in the Tetons. Erin has been happily married to Jason for almost 22 years. They have two daughters; Kylie is a junior at Texas Christian University double majoring in finance and accounting, and Maggie is a senior in high school, an artist, and is deciding where to attend college. "I think in life you are lucky to be able to say you have one or two really great friends. The kind of friends who, even though you don't see them on a regular basis, would be there for you whenever you needed them. I left Delta Xi with more than two, and I would do anything for these ladies." Pansy Pals needs help getting off the ground!
