page 5 | University of Missouri Alumnae Updates Alumnae Updates Chapter Eternal Jan Myles Schwartz '66 entered Chapter Eternal on Feb. 10, 2024, after living with ALS. A 1968 graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, she lived in Boca Raton, Florida, and for 37 years ran her own agency, Janet Schwartz Associates, which did marketing, public relations and business development consulting for national and regional firms. She previously served as public affairs director for Baltimore County in Maryland for seven years and before that was a reporter and editor for The Hartford Times for two years. She leaves behind her husband, Bill. Alumnae News Shirley Otto Breipohl '53 and her husband moved to a retirement community in Oro Valley, Arizona, five years ago. Ann Bonfoey Brown '57 lost her husband after 64 years of marriage. She still has a large family with three children, six grandchildren and "six-and-a-half" great-grandchildren. Ann now resides in Decatur, Georgia. She has always lived in the South, which she considers a beautiful part of our country. Ann has one daughter and a granddaughter who are also Alpha Chis. Email: bcrouch1@charter.net Hazel Ann Davis Dyniewicz '62 and her husband, Dick, celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary in June 2023. They live six months in Kansas City, Kansas, where they have a daughter and two grandchildren, and the other six months in Florida, where they have another daughter and two granddaughters. Email: dickannd@gmail.com Cherry Bittleit Daniel '64 finally retired after over 50 years in public school positions, the last of which was as library/technology coordinator. She is enjoying life with her husband, Dan, who is the brother of Susan Daniel '66. The couple has seven grandchildren and split their time between Delta, Colorado, and Oceanside, California. She also serves as district secretary and public image chair for District 6080 in Missouri and as a member of the Show Me Rotary Council, which organizes and conducts training for incoming Rotary Club presidents throughout the state. She participated in a Rotary Heart2Heart service trip to Guadalajara and Mexico City in November 2022. She resides in Columbia, Missouri. She is a member of PEO, Women's Club, St. Paul's Church and several bridge groups near her home in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. Their two daughters are grown and live in California; Sarah is an actor and Lauren is a gemologist working for RealReal as a valuation specialist. Cheryl and Hal live in Leawood, Kansas. Cheryl is retired and is a Johnson County Extension Master Gardener. She also serves on the Johnson County Extension Education Board as president. Email: amanda.labrot@gmail.com Members of Kappa Upsilon Kappa in mid-Missouri gather on Jan. 23 at Delia's Mexican Grill to celebrate being elevated from an alumnae group to an alumnae chapter 25 years ago in January 1999. Alumnae attended the event from five collegiate chapters: Alpha Nu at the University of Missouri, Zeta Sigma at Missouri State University, Delta Chi at William Woods University, Beta Eta at Florida State University and Alpha Gamma at the University of New Mexico.
