DELTA PSI NEWS 2 I n the past year, Delta Psi Chapter has thrived with engaging events, community involvement, and a commitment to various causes. Notable highlights include the My Tie date party, Monmouth Formal, Kentucky Derby date party, House of Blues Semi-Formal, and Kappa Krush date party, showcasing our dedication to fostering memorable experiences. Kappas across Campus Community engagement remains a priority, as demonstrated through collaborations with Blue Sky, Orchid Nail Spa, and a successful yard sale with Chi Omega. We made a positive impact through Chipotle and bubble tea givebacks, participating in the S.O. Sing dance competition, and celebrating the Homecoming parade. Our commitment to growth was evident through Kappa Leadership Convention attendance, a successful primary recruitment, and initiation ceremonies. The bonds formed with new members were nurtured through various events, culminating in the exciting Big/Little Reveal. Fundraising Efforts We emphasized our dedication to sisterhood, personal development, and community engagement throughout the year, setting the stage for future endeavors. Collaborating with The Jed Foundation, our mental health and well-being partner, we organized impactful philanthropy events such as the Kappa Klassic golf tournament, Two Steppin' Tuesday, and a popsicle fundraiser. These events raised awareness and promoted positive mental health in our community. Our annual Kappa Klassic fundraiser significantly supported Children's Miracle Network, emphasizing the positive impact a united community can have. Collaborating with Phi Delta Theta for Two Steppin' Tuesday raised more than $10,000 for the ALS Foundation and the KKG Foundation, which provides scholarships and assistance to members in need nationwide. T-shirt fundraisers, a deal with Fresh Prints, and a toy drive during December further showcased our dedication to philanthropy. Delta Psi Devotion The year's achievements were celebrated during Founders Day, which recognized academic excellence, honored outstanding pledge class members, and paid tribute to a dedicated alumna with a 65-year pin. Emphasizing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, we conducted educational programs, welcomed deaf members, and initiated a "sign of the week" program for inclusivity. Throughout the year, our chapter prioritized connecting with our local alumnae association and the broader fraternity, celebrating Founders Day with wisdom from local alumnae, and participating in the Leadership Academy to foster growth. Our dedication to sisterhood, community engagement, philanthropy, and inclusivity is setting the stage for continued success in the coming year.
