PAGE 7 Oklahoma State University A L U M N A E N E W S Mitzi Black Wade '50 shares that at 92, she spends more time remembering the friends she made at Stillwater Pi Phi. She is still meeting sisters and enjoying the friendships she's made through the years. She enjoyed attending the 100 th birthday of the chapter and sitting at a table with women from the pledge classes of 1943- 52. Mitzi resides in Marietta, Ga. Email: mbwade3@bellsouth.net Barbara Farrar Sullivan '56 moved to Bothell, Wash., in October to be closer to her daughter, Shari Jenkins, and her new family. Shari was president of Pi Phi at Washington State University in the early '80s. Email: bsullivan4644@msn.com Karen Kimball Jones '64 retired from teaching elementary school in 2001. She and her husband moved to Texas Hill Country and reside in Kerrville, Texas. Karen volunteers as secretary for the Hill Country, Texas, Alumnae Club and volunteers at Hill Country Youth Ranch Auxiliary and Schreiner Mansion. She enjoys traveling with her husband, Bart, hiking and keeping up with 13 grandchildren, six children and old friends. She serves on the Stewardship Committee for Pi Beta Phi Foundation. Email: deerichardson71@gmail.com Lucina Beaver Thompson '78 shares that her daughter, Audrey, was a Pi Phi at Texas A&M. Audrey is 33 now, and they have had the joy of serving as co-beneficiaries for the Dallas Alumnae Club. They love researching worthy literacy organizations in the Dallas metroplex. "What a wonderful thing to invest our time, talent and treasure in," she says. Lucina lives in Dallas, Texas. She is looking forward to being back in the Washington, D.C., area to continue with Deloitte Consulting, traveling, volunteering and more. Email: lizziegmalloy@gmail.com Leslie Wilson Waite '15 has an eight- month-old baby boy, who is the joy of her life. Upon returning from maternity leave from her local hospital as a sonographer, she discovered a large tumor growing in her uterus. She has stage 4 cancer and has been going to chemo treatments every three weeks. Her OSU sisters have been her biggest support. "I will beat this cancer!" she says.
