Actives celebrate another successful and fun MN Royal week. I n the heart of UMN, Clovia has thrived this year, engaging in various aspects of campus life such as classes, organizations, jobs, internships, research, and social events. Our members are pursuing majors in finance, agriculture education, agriculture communication and marketing, animal science, cell biology, kinesiology, psychology, food science, and nursing. In the spirit of giving back, our chapter participated in numerous social service activities, accumulating a total of 362 hours of service. Our fall philanthropy event, featuring an ice cream sundae bar and a bake sale, raised nearly $950, which will be donated to the 4-H organization. This fall, 16 members made it to the dean's list. Additionally, our members are actively involved in over 15 different campus clubs. • Kelsey Biel and Belle Patterson transitioned into student teaching, sharing their knowledge and talents with Minnesota students. • Three members participated in dairy judging, traveling across Minnesota and Wisconsin with notable success, including Haley Beukema and Kelsey judging on the winning team at World Dairy Expo. • Emma Marthaler and Anna Ridenour are members of the livestock judging team, putting in dedicated efforts to achieve success in national contests. • Four members (Natalie Beckendorf, Megan Wischer, Meredith Taylor, and Makalya Moline) achieved their American FFA degree, showcasing their commitment to agricultural leadership. The members of Clovia have been actively engaged in various events, including the Clovia Gala, biannual Pot of Gold games, MN Royal, and exchanges with various Greek organizations. Lastly, the chapter welcomed 10 new members in the past year (spring and fall 2023), each contributing unique talents and perspectives. As we continue to navigate the academic year, our commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and community involvement remains steadfast.
