I hope everyone had a joyous time with family and friends over the Christmas and New Year's holidays. We had a marvelous Founders' Day this past October 15 at the Arboretum with nearly 100 attendees. Speakers Stephanie Treanor of Pennington & Company (who is our fundraising consultant) and Tim Fuller from Timothy Fuller Architects provided updates on the Building the Best Better Project. Unfortunately, technical problems prevented Tim from showing early drafts of how the new chapter house might look. Fortunately, for about three seconds, a rendering of the potential exterior of the house flashed across the screen, resulting in a collective Clover gasp! I think it's safe to say that people were impressed. Our National Meeting will be held on Saturday, April 13, at Coffman Union on the Minneapolis campus. The actives advocated for a campus location so the Alphas can get a taste of our beloved University. They explored more potential venues than I can count, but nothing was available on either campus except for the Whole Music Club (aka the Whole Coffee House or Gopher Hole). I was happy to see it was recently remodeled and will be a pleasant space to host the meeting and lunch. Parking and transit information will be sent to registrants prior to the meeting. For historical information on the Whole Music Club, go to sua.umn.edu/visit/locations/coffman-memorial-union/whole-music-club/history. After that, the alumnae evening gathering will be hosted by Pamela Kotval '74 in the accessible Club Room of her apartment complex at Oaks Landing (700 7th Street NW, New Brighton, MN). Light refreshments and conversation will be served beginning at 4:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6. Details will be posted on the Alumnae Facebook page. We hope you can join us, regardless of your National Meeting attendance! Architect Tim Fuller presents his work on the Building the Best Better Project at the 86th Founders' Day on October 15. Actives and alumnae participate in a Networking Night on November 13 at the chapter house. Alumnae shared about their positions, career advice, opportunities, and more with our collegiate members.
