W elcome to another edition of The Glazebook Gazette! Between our Yellow Jackets beating ranked UNC at Homecoming, the Gasparilla Bowl win, and the chapter's recent accolades, there's a lot to be excited about as an alumnus. First, we would like to welcome Lucas Ferreria '17 to our BOT ranks. He will be replacing Will Mizell '84 as treasurer. Following his retirement from Waffle House this spring, Will is moving into a role with ATΩ Foundation, where he will help to manage scholarships and endowments for chapters across the nation. Will has been a member of our board since 1992, and I can confidently say that there are very few Beta Iota men who have given as much as him to this chapter. Will, thank you very much for your dedication to our brotherhood, and we're excited to work with you in your new role at the Foundation! We are continuously looking to add members to the board, so if you're interested, please send me a message at bot.gtato@gmail.com. Next, we would like to apologize for the confusion caused by the incorrect donation instructions that were posted in the spring newsletter. In switching our communications vendor, we also had to change how we process donations. Your donations are extremely important to maintaining our board's activities, and we apologize for the miscommunication! Moving forward, the correct information will be posted in each newsletter. You can donate by mailing a check or by visiting our website at gtatoalum.org/donate. Finally, we offer our congratulations to the undergraduate brothers for earning their third-consecutive True Merit Award! More details on this accomplishment are included in the chapter report on page 2, but I just want to say this is a tremendous honor that speaks to the chapter's hard work over the past few years. As we reflect on 2023, the board is committed to improving the frequency of communication and providing opportunities to connect with fellow alumni. We will revisit this focus in the new year and keep you updated as plans develop. Thank you for your continued support of Beta Iota Chapter!
