Georgia Tech Striving for Excellence Undergraduates Share Fall Semester Successes D uring the fall semester, Beta Iota Chapter embarked on a journey of growth, service, and academic excellence. With a membership roster that boasted students from diverse disciplines, we harnessed our collective strengths to make a substantial impact both on and off campus. Academic Achievement Our fraternity's dedication to academic prowess is unwavering! Our effort to connect new members with older brothers who have experience in their chosen fields has contributed to a chapter-wide GPA of 3.56, which exceeds the all-men's average of 3.44. Special recognition goes to our academic chairman, Michael Weschler '20, whose tradition of weekly grade competitions for class assignments has helped keep brothers academically competitive. Community Service Our many philanthropic initiatives, led by Philanthropy Chairman Riley Woods '20, helped to raise over $3,000 for charity, while our members contributed a total of 500 service hours. Special thanks to recent alumnus Pat O'Malley '19 for his participation in our charity comedy show! Campus Leadership Our involvement on campus extends to many areas beyond philanthropy. Our brothers hold leadership positions across various student organizations, including the Interfraternity Council, Consulting Clubs, and Georgia Tech Startup Exchange. Our chapter remains committed to making a positive impact wherever we can. Social and Cultural Events ATΩ started the semester on the right foot with our annual Wet Weekend party, attracting over a thousand attendees! We were also excited to enjoy a great football season, watching GT make it to a bowl game for the first time since 2018. A big thanks to all the alumni who came to visit for Homecoming weekend! True Merit Award This year, we were proud to achieve the True Merit Award once again for the third straight year! Our unyielding pursuit of academic excellence, steadfast commitment to community service, and cultivation of leadership have enabled us to stand out as a chapter of ATΩ worthy of True Merit. We aim to continue this trend with our commitment to excellence! Looking Forward As we turn the page to a new chapter, our fraternity stands on the cusp of an ambitious 2024. Our forward momentum is guided by a commitment to continuous improvement and a dedication to our core values of brotherhood, scholarship, and service.
