GREEK LIFE AT UNL TODAY 25% of undergraduate men are members of a fraternity 49 sororities and fraternities on campus 25 active Interfraternity Council chapters Top campus organizations continue to be led by Greek-affiliated students 4 FARMHOUSE FRATERNITY THE FRATERNITY IMPACT TODAY THE VALUE OF THE FRATERNITY EXPERIENCE Brothers are more connected to their local communities, and they spend more time volunteering than nonaffiliated students. RESEARCH PROVES OUR MISSION IS IMPORTANT Fraternities empower students and provide a strong support system. When members seek help, they are twice as likely to turn to a brother than anyone else. Members experience greater gains in learning and graduate at higher rates than their peers. 83% of members say their confidence in their leadership skills increased because of their membership. Members are more academically engaged than their peers. C ompounded by the persistent negative news stories surrounding Greek life, it is fair to ask the question, "Are Greek organizations as relevant today as they were in my generation?" Contrary to these news stories, fraternities have proven to foster positive mental health, serve as a success accelerator for students, and inspire tremendous loyalty and connection to their college experience. Perhaps the biggest attribute of a fraternity is that it teaches us values one simply cannot learn in a classroom. By continuing to invest in our chapter, we can ensure Nebraska FarmHouse remains a place for brothers to become the greatest version of themselves.
