Mentoring the Next Generation of the Workforce W ith over 252,000 living alumni, SigEp has a network of knowledgeable brothers to help young members prepare for nearly any career. Currently, more than 1,600 undergraduate brothers are taking advantage of personalized career coaching from alumni within their desired fields. SigEp's goal is to ensure each undergraduate brother receives career coaching to prepare him for the next step after graduation. Do you want to support the next generation by becoming a career coach? Moving Forward on Housing After careful consideration and input from many alumni, the AVC decided unanimously to enter into an agreement with Bushnell University that gives us the option to sell them both the Chapter House and our apartment building if we can secure an alternate property by June 30, 2024. Through much research and consideration, we now believe the future of our Chapter will be best served at a different location outside the heart of Bushnell University. This allows us to consider what the future of Fraternity houses looks like, how they operate, and what size and design will continue to appeal to the ever-changing undergraduate population for decades to come. Ultimately, it was the decision of the AVC that the current house, even with extensive renovations, would not provide the "Living and Learning Environment" that SigEp strives for. We owe many thanks to Ron Greenman '68, who graciously volunteered his time to provide critical legal counsel to help us reach this agreement, as well as Mike Sullivan '85, chairman of the Housing Committee. We will continue to lease 1000 Alder Street to the ATĪ© Fraternity for this academic year and anticipate more updates by the spring newsletter. Brothers, we are back and more determined than ever to reclaim our title as the top Fraternity at the University of Oregon.
