E liza Thomas Maxwell '04 grew up in Richmond, Virginia, before heading to The University of Alabama. While at UA, she graduated with a degree in nursing, and after several years in the field, she learned more about home health care after helping a pledge sister's father who was suffering from an ongoing illness. She founded homeRN, which began taking clients in January of 2021. Eliza has now expanded her services and has franchised the company to Kappa Deltas in Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Charleston, South Carolina; and Auburn, Alabama. Several women in our Chapter have had the opportunity to work for homeRN, providing nursing services to clients throughout the Tuscaloosa community. This position has allowed the women to gain hands-on experience, make some money, and boost their résumés for nursing school or medical school in the future. Kappa Delta is proud of all that Eliza has done to improve the lives of others through home health care services. IMPROVING LIVES IN THE SOUTH Above: Eliza and her family.
