Inaugural Delta Chi Career Fair
T
his past February, we organized the chapter's first career fair!
With the chapter boasting more than 40 new members, this event is an
opportunity to set a path and share experience and wisdom with our young
men as they begin their academic journey. It is also a good way to identify
potential interns for those assigned the task of identifying candidates.
With input from the undergraduates, seven career paths were chosen to be
the subjects of presentations on a Saturday morning:
• Andrew Loving '10 presented on accounting.
• Derrick Dewitt '95 shared his experience as an attorney.
• Randy Warren '77 and Steve Hudson '80 spoke on being
professional pilots.
• Zane Wilson '17 presented on mechanical and aerospace engineering.
• Joe Ray '82 talked finance.
• Jay Yowell '94 spoke on architecture.
• Dan Loving '72 presented on sales and marketing.
There were some great interactions between undergraduates and alumni,
including sharing beneficial information regarding courses of study,
internships, résumé writing, and interviewing.
The chapter has asked for a repeat career fair
during the 2023-2024 school year!

to any alumni willing to present to the chapter. If called, please consider
being a part of our team and this effort! Think of what it would have
meant to you to have the chance to personally interact with a professional
who could give you good advice.

Our Career Fair mirrors exciting things happening at the
national level. DeltWorks is an alumni program that aims to
improve the career readiness of our undergraduate brothers
by connecting them with opportunities for jobs, internships,
and job shadowing during their time at OSU and beyond!
