CATCHING UP WITH DELTA CHI Make Time for Alumni Connections DELTA CHI NEWS ALUMNI NEWSLETTER | OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY | FALL 2023 Inside: A Life of Excellence and Service | Reaching New Heights Chapter Goals • Pg. 2 | Delta Chi Career Fair • Pg. 3 I hope this issue of Delta Chi News finds you all in good health and high spirits. It's always a pleasure to reconnect with our Delta Chi brothers who have left an indelible mark on our beloved chapter. I would like to share some developments concerning our Shelter funding, highlight key figures who have helped elevate the Delta Chi experience, and discuss Homecoming events that will surely rekindle the fond memories we share as brothers. The Shelter Needs You As you can imagine, the Shelter takes lots of effort and resources to maintain for today's Delta Chi brotherhood. We have a large mortgage to pay down alongside the adequate funding necessary for regular maintenance. It's never too late to help us afford these expenses! You can contribute today by visiting tinyurl.com/pledgedeltagain. If you have any questions regarding giving or adjusting your outstanding pledge balance, please contact our campaign coordinator, Caroline, at chammond@penningtonco.com. We're Coming Home Homecoming is always a great opportunity for alumni to reconnect and cheer on the Cowboys. Join us for the traditional Walkaround on Friday, October 27, followed by the football game against Cincinnati on Saturday, October 28. If you make it back to campus this year, we invite you to come visit the Shelter and see where your alumni support goes. The members are glad to connect with alumni of all eras! Growth and Connection The Shelter is buzzing again with new members thanks to the recruitment team's recent work signing 33 young men. These members are the future of our brotherhood, and we look forward to seeing what they can accomplish. While we fell short of our goal to fill the house in the fall, we look forward to adding more members in the spring. Reach out to our recruitment team if you know a young man at OSU who is Delt material. In the spirit of Delt connections, Dan Loving '72 recently organized a Delt career fair in February 2023. Read more about the event on page 3. Shae Roggendorf '92 and Logan Holden '14 also organized monthly Delt happy hours in Oklahoma City and Tulsa last summer, keeping alumni connected beyond campus. Thank you for staying connected with Delta Chi Chapter. Alumni support helps us keep the brotherhood in good hands, and we appreciate everyone who prioritizes our Delt connections. Fraternally, Michael Barker '78 House Corporation President Is there a reunion you have with brothers? Do you make it back to campus/the Shelter frequently? Maybe you pitch in from afar? (Volunteering doesn't always have to be in person!) We want to hear about it! Send us a quick message at updatemyrecord@penningtonco.com and let us know how you're prioritizing our Delta Chi brotherhood, including any brothers who you keep in touch with. The Northside Nasties get hyped at a basketball game. The members clear their schedules to cheer on Cowboy Basketball. How Are You Staying Connected to Delta Chi?
