This book is designed to introduce children to the idea of going to college, helping them picture continuing their education throughout their lives. Taylor is a wife, mom, and business consultant with a love for universities, college sports, and learning. She graduated from OU in 2011 with bachelor's degrees in economics and international studies. Marjori is a wife, mom, grandmother, teacher, and university professor in teacher education who enjoys time with her family, reading aloud to her grandchildren, and encouraging young people to follow their dreams. W e were overjoyed with the excellent group of new members who ran home to 1611 College Avenue after this year's recruitment. Alumnae know this is only the beginning for our newest members! Our sisterhood is dedicated to providing new members with the support and skills they need to succeed in college and beyond. Our primary focus is ensuring sisters adjust to their new academic environment while helping them grow as women through friendships, philanthropy, and being a part of something bigger than themselves. We have three tenants guiding us as new member educators: Leaning In – We encourage every new member to embrace the college experience and lay the groundwork for long-lasting friendships within our chapter and across campus. During their time at OU, we are a resource for any and all needs. Opening Up – We aim to be the cornerstone of fresh growth—a support system not just for the months before initiation but also for a lifetime. Connecting Out – Joining a sorority is an exciting experience, but Greek women are much more than their chapter! We want our newest Tri Delta women to find connections, leadership opportunities, and personal growth throughout campus through OU's 500 student organizations. We'll impart the background and core principles of Tri Delta during our weekly meetings, bringing in speakers from across campus to speak on the numerous opportunities and support organizations that are accessible outside of Tri Delta. To mentor and direct them, we will put them in touch with our Tri Delta upperclassmen and leaders. We'll also have frank discussions on what it genuinely means to live according to our motto of being brave, bold, and kind. In addition to serving as educators, we also strive to be friends and mentors to the newest Tri Deltas. Every single woman has distinct needs and will contribute to our chapter in their own unique way.
