amma Upsilon has had a remarkable 2023. Over the
summer, Jason Berger '21 and Ben Alleman '21
attended the ATΩ National Awards Ceremony in Orlando,
Florida, where they accepted our eighth-straight (and 26th
total) True Merit Bowl! True Merit is an achievement our
chapter is extremely proud of, as it honors the top ATΩ
chapters across the nation. We also want to congratulate
Michael Nelson '07 and the rest of the board members for
receiving the Upper Alpha BOTs honor!
Last semester, our chapter had a GPA of 3.26—a tenth-point
higher than before, placing us seventh overall on campus.
Later in the fall, Scholarship Officer Luke Eitzman '21
plans to host a résumé workshop for Career Fair.
Through the summer and early fall, Recruitment Chairmen
Chase Boelling '22 and Josh Painter '22 worked hard
to recruit 45 new members—many more from formal
recruitment than in the past. We take pride in the recent
growth of our membership and eagerly anticipate the
realization of Gamma Upsilon's future potential.
October 7 will be another great Dad's Day, complete
with food, games, and music in our backlot as Iowa State
takes on TCU. We love the chance to spend a day with the
fathers who support us in everything we do.
JOIN US IN NOVEMBER
After taking first place in Homecoming last fall, we have
extremely high expectations. We are paired with Alpha
Chi Omega this year and look forward to defending our
title. The alumni events will take place on November
3 and 4, and all are encouraged to come and support our
Homecoming activities.
Expectations are high this fall with many lofty goals for
the semester. We want to thank you for your continued
support as you watch us excel academically, socially, and
philanthropically. Our doors are always open, and we
welcome you to visit anytime you wish.
