PAGE 7 Oklahoma State University O klahoma Beta gained 61 new angels on Bid Day, August 19, and these women have already been a huge blessing to our chapter. Recruitment went a little differently this year without our chapter house but was a big success nonetheless. Using the Wesley Foundation, a church and event center in Stillwater, we enjoyed two weeks full of fun, hard work and love for Pi Beta Phi. The chapter has done an incredible job during this adjustment, and it could not have gone any better! I looked forward to my conversations at the Wesley Center and felt at home. There was not one conversation I didn't leave feeling refreshed about my week. Pi Phi consistently felt like home to me!" –Jaycee Garrett '23 "I was searching for three things in recruitment: authentic sisterhood, connection that far surpassed the surface and young women who were equipped to fully embrace and challenge me. 'Sisterhood' is a commonly used term in fraternity/ sorority life, and I was not completely convinced that it was real. Walking through the doors of Pi Beta Phi for the first time is a feeling I'll never forget. Better yet, the feeling of instant comfort, genuine love and passion was NOT coming from the four walls I sat inside (at the Wesley); the home was truly the people. I say with so much gratitude and joy, I am excited and blessed to be a part of something much greater than myself! Ring Ching!" –Emma Youngblood '23 Why We Joined Our wonderful new angels on Bid Day 2023!
