"Three actives came for alterations and asked if I was going to the groundbreaking. I said no, as I had a broken foot—in a boot and using a walker. When they came back to pick up, they brought pictures and a t-shirt for me!" Shelley Henriksen Galloway '71 is a certified Shinrin Yoku (forest therapy) guide. She practices ikebana (Japanese flower arranging) and teaches it at Sogetsu school. She spent a semester at sea and is on the Alumni Association. She lives in Glencoe, Ill. In September, she was also inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame for City and Town Officials for her 12 years on the city council, 12 years on the park board, and three years as vice mayor. She travels all over, training teachers in how to implement the programs offered. Her youngest son, Hunter, is a senior in high school, so her empty nest days are around the corner. Their son, Jack, is a freshman at Rock Canyon High School and is an avid basketball player. Kristie lives in Castle Pines, Colo., and is in her ninth year teaching 4-year-olds at Little School.
