THE BEARCAT SIG Zeta Psi Chapter of Sigma Chi at the University of Cincinnati V Summer 2023 T he 2023-24 academic year is underway at UC, and I am happy to report the undergraduate brothers have moved back into the renovated Lincoln W. Pavey chapter house. While our 53-year-old house has undergone a much-needed faceli, there are still many items that we were unable to address due to budgetary constraints. As we wrap up our Zeta Psi 140: Leadership Lives Here campaign, I humbly ask you to make a gi that will impact our undergraduate brothers for years to come. We are still short of our $3 million goal and our alumni participation rate remains below average. Your gi, which can be spread out over five years, is needed. Our board is excited to have our fall meeting back at the house. I must give praise to the House Corporation officers—Treasurer Larry Ring '76, Property Managers Mike Muse '93 and Clint Hines '93, and Secretary om Brannock '90—who have done an amazing job navigating the changes and transition to our renovated home. Additionally, I'd like to thank our construction committee members, Steve Knight '74, Dennis Oltorik '86, Clint Hines '93, and John Russell '68, for their hours and hours of service to the project. Unfortunately, we lost Order of Constantine Sig John Russell on June 16, 2023. John served Zeta Psi and our fraternity in official and non-official roles for decades. Zeta Psi was lucky to call him one of our own. I will miss his wise words, support, and friendship. All honor to his name! As we continue to adapt House Corporation's operations and processes, I invite anyone with an interest in joining our board to reach out to me directly. We currently meet twice a year at the chapter house. Lastly, please expect our need for your support to continue. As noted above, there are items that we were unable to get to and there will be items that come up down the road. We must continue to provide our undergraduate brothers with the best facilities on campus—they have shown us they are worthy.
