eligibility for Medicare benefits.
Review your current health insurance coverage to find out what happens after
you turn 65.
7 to 9 months before your 65th birthday:
Calculate your costs including premiums, deductible, and copays.
Make sure to ask these important questions:
• Will I have to choose hospital and healthcare providers from a network?
• Will my doctors accept the coverage? If not, are there doctors near me who will?
• What will my prescription drugs cost?
4 to 6 months before your 65th birthday:
Enroll in Medicare Part A and Part B, if you have not already done so. If you
have not received your automatic enrollment information in the mail, contact
the Social Security Administration at 800-772-1213.
Confirm receipt of Medicare card(s).
