Rutherford County Christmas tree.
Main Street organizes the event,
featuring entertainment, caroling,
tree lighting, and a visit from Santa,
of course. ere are free activities for
children, carriage rides, and pictures
with Santa, 5:30-8:30 p.m.

City of Murfreesboro Police Department –
MPD Shop with a Cop
Dec. 1-15
During the Christmas season, Murfreesboro Police
Department's Shop with a Cop program provides
new clothing and gifts for children in need who
attend Murfreesboro City Schools. Students are
recommended to the Shop with a Cop program by
the schools' counselors and teachers.
Students selected provide the officers with a wish
list. Officers receive a $250 gift card, shop for the
items on the list, wrap the presents, and deliver
them to the students.
