2 Beta Tau Participate and Celebrate Join the Preparations for Our 75th Anniversary S igma Kappa Sorority is marking 150 years of sisterhood in 2024. But did you know that our beloved Beta Tau Chapter also reaches an exciting milestone next year? Originally colonized on April 2, 1949, Beta Tau will celebrate its 75th Jubilee year in 2024. 75 Years of Sisterhood in 2024 Throughout 2024, we will commemorate our Beta Tau past, present, and future through events like the Alumnae Summer Sleepover 2024, Founder's Day, and the fall 2024 tailgate, which will all have a special anniversary flair. We'll celebrate our bond through shared memories, alumnae spotlights, service events, and of course, a focus on our bonds of sisterhood across the years. Along the way, we'll look back to where we started, learn about today's chapter, and explore what the future may hold. Be There for Beta Tau To do this, we need you! The House Corporation Board invites all Beta Tau alumnae to help shape the festivities by joining our Beta Tau 75-Year Jubilee planning team. If you don't have a lot of time to give, don't worry—you can still help! There are so many ways to be involved, no matter your schedule, availability, or skill level. We've got a great group of sisters from many eras working on events, but there is always room for more! To join the 75th Jubilee planning team in any capacity, please contact Jeanneen Coleman Watson '87 at btcorpboardpresident@gmail.com. Together, we can create a celebration worthy of both our history and our bright future. Taking Home the Gold Beta Tau Board Earns Recognition at Conference I n June, Beta Tau Corporation Board members attended the 2023 SK National Housing Conference at the beautiful NC State campus in Raleigh, North Carolina. Some highlights of the event included tours of the new Sigma Kappa Gamma Phi chapter house, a tasty traditional pig pickin' barbecue, and deep dives into trends, challenges, and strategies to improve the housing experience for future sisters. Oh, yes, there was one more thrilling highlight! Congratulations to the Beta Tau Corporation Board for being recognized as Gold, the highest level of board, for their accomplishments on the Keys to Housing Excellence program for 2022. A big thank you to every board member in 2022, and to the volunteers, event attendees, and other helpers who supported our mission. It took teamwork and dedication by all to attain this achievement again this year. We are working hard and looking forward to delivering another Gold-level year in 2023! Beta Tau Corporation Board members show off the Gold award at the Sigma Kappa Housing Convention in June.
