Summer House Updates Complete
T
his summer, the House Corporation
worked on almost every room in
the Delta Delta Delta House. We ordered
new upholstery, lamps, rugs, art, and
accessories while moving existing pieces
to new rooms for a fresh look. Amy
Hearn Hand '89 ordered 68 new, top-of-
the-line mattresses for the second and
third floors (plus our guest room). The
decorating committee (Kimberly Lee
Bean '80, Missie Neville Crawford '89,
and Paige Dowdy Albright '89) rearranged
bookcases, bought new accessories, and
ordered upholstery. The living room
received three lovely blue sofas, plus one
for the piano room.
In addition, we reupholstered the TV
room's red sofas in a fresh cream, indoor/
outdoor hard-wearing Crypton fabric.
The oversized ottoman was recovered in
a teal blue fabric to match the living room
sofas. We added new lamps to the main-
level areas, moving old lamps to the dining
room, second, and third floors. The entry
received a new, modern Tibetan rug and
antique table; we cleaned the existing rug
and moved it to the second floor (along
with the existing living room lamps).
Lastly, the third floor received a new
flatweave rug as we restored the ottoman.
Everything was refurbished and looking
fresh for fall recruitment! Special thanks to
everyone who contributed to our annual
fund, which was used for our newest art
and accessories. What a difference they
have made!

information on our fall open houses.
