O ur current home was a transformation f rom the Mansion on the Hill. Being able to secure our rightful place across f rom Bryant-Denny Stadium while providing a competitive, attractive, and sufficient home were our main priorities. Now 16 years later as our chapter has continued to thrive and the functional use of our home has changed, there are areas where we must improve to keep DKE at the top of the f raternity system at UA. The major issue we need to address is the expansion of gathering and social spaces throughout. Psi has intentionally decreased pledge classes the last three years to mitigate the issue, but continuing to limit our membership is not ideal. Our house must meet not just our current needs, but those of our future as well. TAX DEDUCTIBILITY The University of Alabama will again allow for our building project to be paid in tax- deductible dollars, with all gifts made through UA earmarked for DKE. Donors may also make stock gifts or give through IRA distributions, donor advised funds, or family foundations. Gifts may also qualify through an employer charitable gift matching program. When a donor makes a tax-deductible gift, it is recorded and reflected in his lifetime giving to the university as well as to the university's $1.5 billion The Rising Tide campaign. THE NEXT PHASE FOR PSI "Since the current house was constructed in 2007, The University of Alabama and its Greek system have experienced unimaginable growth, and it's time for our generation of DKEs to step up and join others to ensure Psi remains the best f raternity in Tuscaloosa." –Richard Pipkins '17, House Corporation Treasurer We are literally bursting at the seams trying to accommodate the needs of the brotherhood!
