THETA IOTA page 3 Philanthropy Over the past year, Theta Iota Chapter raised over $65,419 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. In February, we had our 25K in a Day fundraiser. In just 21 hours, we raised $27,238, beating our goal three hours early! This fundraiser was a huge success, and we raised over $33,234 in total. In April, we hosted a new event called "Tri Delta Car Wash," where guests paid $5 for each wash. Overall, the spring semester was filled with many philanthropy events that our members had so much fun participating in! Our chapter is extremely grateful for all the generous contributions and donations made toward these events benefiting St. Jude. Social Our first date party of the semester was held on February 24 at McCool's in Aggieville! Our seniors chose Vegas as the theme. It was so fun to see everyone in different Vegas-themed costumes, which called for lots of sequins! Everyone had an absolute blast. On the first weekend of April, we held our Mom's Weekend. On Saturday, we had LINK x LOU®at the house, where our members got matching permanent bracelets with their moms. We also had a Board and Brush event, where moms and daughters painted and created their own decorative signs. On Sunday morning, Tri Delta hosted a brunch along with a silent auction and a wide variety of pop- up boutiques! Our final social event of the year was our formal, which was hosted at House Party in Aggieville. Our sisters dressed up in beautiful gowns and enjoyed catered Chick-fil-A and Crumbl Cookies. We had an amazing time! Academics As always, our sisters prioritized their academics among our many fun events and service opportunities. In the fall, we had an overall 3.3 GPA, and 28 sisters achieved a 4.0 GPA! We can't wait to see how our spring grades stack up. Sisterhood Our first event was Valentine's-themed, where our members got together to make cards for the children at St. Jude. For our next event, Nashville-based country singer David Austin gave us a private concert in our chapter room! It was a huge hit. Before Easter, we had a surprise egg hunt. The women received random texts the week before, encouraging them to come to the house and search for eggs filled with candy (some with money!). It was a fun way to see sisters who do not live in the house conbined with a childhood tradition. To celebrate graduation, many of this semester's events were dedicated to our lovely seniors. The seniors, our advisors, and other alumnae enjoyed pastries, cheese boards, coffee, and tea at the annual Circle Degree brunch in early May.
