Keeping Our Brotherhood
and Community Strong
Brothers Enjoy a Fulfilling Semester
M
ichigan Alpha Chapter has had a great semester, highlighted by
several philanthropic events and lots of fun brotherhood memories.
Before we get into the more memorable events, we'd like to note that
we currently have 97 active members, and our chapter is thriving
academically with a 3.67 GPA.
Over the past few months, our chapter participated in three main
philanthropy events.
• First, we raised approximately $3,600 through multiple fundraising
events to support MSU in the wake of the horrific events that
occurred there earlier this semester.
• With the help of Kappa Kappa Gamma, we organized a gift drive for
local elementary schools. We bought clothes, toys, and books to give
underprivileged kids a meaningful Christmas.
• Finally, we raised enough money to compete in the Winterfest
Broomball tournament for the first time in seven years. The proceeds
were donated to the Autism Alliance of Michigan, The Women's
Center of Southeastern Michigan, and Fisher House Michigan.
Although we always put an emphasis on academics and community
philanthropy, we strive to create ways to spend time together and keep
our brotherhood strong. This semester, we once again competed in a
soccer and flag football league against the other fraternities on campus.
We came up just short of a championship in both, finishing as runner-up
in soccer and losing in the semifinals in flag football. Our sophomore
and senior PCs also
vacationed together in
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico,
for spring break.
We hope everyone is
doing well. Go Blue!
