Alpha Mu Chapter of Kappa Delta at the University of Mississippi | Spring 2023
O
n Sunday, April 23, the Alpha Mu House Corporation hosted our first
Mother/Daughter Alumnae Brunch. Guests were greeted with colorful
balloons adorning the grand staircase and beautiful spring flowers
throughout the house. Our staff prepared a delicious meal that included
homemade shrimp and grits, salad, fruit skewers, chicken tenders,
macaroni and cheese, KD decorated cookies, and the most popular item—
the classic KD Green Drink! This famous drink was served for many
years during skit round of recruitment, and we were excited to share it
with our young daughters—and even some collegians who had never
tried the drink. It was a hit!
The brunch was held on a very busy weekend on the Ole Miss campus.
Between baseball and the Morgan Wallen concerts, the campus and
town of Oxford were packed. We were so pleased that over 125 people
joined us for the fun, and we look forward to seeing even more alumnae
and daughters next year. From collegiate members to mothers to
grandmothers, we loved seeing so many generations of
Kappa Delta women!
Thank you to the planning committee, Dr. Julie Golden Harper '91,
Margaret Anne Beech Alias '98, Suzanne Herron Helveston '99, and
several Chapter members, for creating a special event for our alumnae.
