The homeowner wanted a pool
house for entertaining guests
alongside the existing pool. Because
of local zoning codes, the new pool
house was designed on the second
floor of the garage, complete with a
cozy gas fireplace, great room, and
bathroom. The cantilevered balcony
gives way to spectacular views of
the pool and a golf course that
surrounds the property, making this
the perfect addition to any pool day.

Universal Design techniques trans-
formed this bath into a practical room for
caregivers who assist family members
with wheelchairs and shower chairs.
Calming colors and organic textures
turned this bathroom into a warm, soothing
shower in an open, bright, cheerful place
of repose. Contemporary features include
a curb-less shower with large glass shower
walls, a touch-activated faucet, a bidet
seat, and plenty of storage to serve the
needs of this loving family.
