O ver this past quarter, our relationship with Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS), a nonprofit dedicated to providing young kids with needed role models, has grown greatly. Our brothers spent hours being trained by the nonprofit on how to be the best big brothers possible. Participating in BBBS events allows brothers to take a break from the books and spend time playing sports or board games with these youngsters. Our two most notable events were the BBBS Christmas Party and the BBBS Bowling Night. As the only organization on campus to interface with this nonprofit, ATΩ Gamma Gamma is proud of its involvement. In particular, the BBBS Christmas party was a blast, as it al- lowed the pledges to participate in their first philanthropic event with the brothers. We donated a total of $500 worth of presents, which were given out by a brother dressed as Santa. Just recently, Gamma Gamma attended the BBBS bowling fundraiser. We signed up three teams, which totaled a $600 do- nation to the BBBS organization. Brothers had fun, but it is a good thing they are at a STEM school as none of them would make it in professional bowling. We look forward to growing our philanthropic culture and are always on the lookout for great organizations to help! This year, Student Affairs decided to revive the games, hence, a representative from each Greek organi- zation was summoned to plan the day-long event. We met weekly to plan the entire day from the ground up. To do this we used previous years' games as a guideline. After thor- ough planning, the games were successfully held on April 23rd. There were various games ranging from a funny relay race to dodgeball. ATΩ and Tri-Delta hosted the relay race. Multiple people from both organizations volunteered to help set up for the day. After a whole day of activities and hang- ing out with other Greek organizations, the points were tal- lied up and ATΩ was victorious! It was a great joy to win the renewed Greek Games and we look forward to the next one.
