Born on May 14, 1958, he was the son of the late Eugene and Ruth Porter Hull. In addition to his par- ents, he was preceded in death his brothers, Johnny and Ronald Hull; and sister, Elizabeth Granger. He is survived by his wife, Tina Mode Hull of the home; son, Nathan Hull of Shelby; daughter, Nicole Newton and husband, Marty of Casar; five grandchildren; mother-in-law, Ann Mode of Shelby. Funeral services were held April 12, 2023 at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Tim Sims officiating. Burial followed on April 13 in Sunset Cemetery. Surviving Mrs. Patterson are a son, Thomas Steel (Bertha), a granddaughter; five step grandchildren; a number of great grandchil- dren, and two great-great grandchildren.
