Lyre Notes Alpha Nu Chapter of ΑΧΩ at the University of Missouri Spring 2023 P rior to the pandemic, the Alpha Nu House Corporation Board had been reviewing plans for our next renovation of the chapter house. In order to remain competitive on campus, we reviewed the facilities of other sororities and considered what was happening nationally. The pandemic caused us to pause and wait for the situation to stabilize. We did proceed with security updates, including a new cellphone-based locking system for our exterior doors, an additional security camera and a wrought iron fence for the back of our property, and made maintenance updates to the parking lot and driveway in addition to several furniture purchases. We are starting to again consider renovations for the future. These would include the ADA need for an elevator, an ADA suite for members, a new house director suite and member bedroom, a new kitchen and equipment, a 24/7 kitchenette area for members and laundry facility updates and amenities. We will also need new furnishings, and we plan on creating a cohesive exterior look for the house. For the last three years, we have worked to manage our funds efficiently to start a reserve to begin an undertaking of this magnitude. We know many of you were able to join us last year for the Alpha Nu Centennial and see the chapter house. We hope you were pleased with the renovations that have been completed since you lived at 900 Richmond. Greek Town has been growing and major investments have been made across many of the chapter houses. As we look to the future and what that means for our house at 900 Richmond, we will need to reach out for financial support to ensure that the Alpha Nu Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega remains competitive at Mizzou. Look for updates on our plans, and we thank you in advance for your support.
