o say Maggie Meyr '19 is making the most
of her collegiate experience within Alpha
Nu and across Mizzou's campus would be an
understatement. The senior from Essex, Ill.,
majoring in diagnostic medical ultrasound,
served as Alpha Nu's vice president of risk
management in 2020 and chapter president in
2021. She's also been involved with university
organizations like Sigma Eta Rho, College
Mentors for Kids, RAMS and MizzouThon.
Now, she is the first recipient of the Alpha Nu
Centennial Scholarship!
The fund was established in 2022 by the
Centennial Planning Committee through the
Alpha Chi Omega Foundation to continue
Alpha Nu's legacy for the next 100 years. It
awards a scholarship to an Alpha Nu senior
in an effort to improve the retention of the
chapter's most seasoned members.
"I believe it's important for this scholarship to
be available to future collegiate members, as
we recognize the growing struggles in society
today with the lack of resources and financial
aid," Maggie shares. "Providing the opportunity
for this scholarship means a tremendous amount
to students and collegiate members such as
myself, including hope and change and an
opportunity for excellence."
Many thanks to the Alpha Nu alumnae and
friends who have contributed so far, allowing
us to award this scholarship. We hope to
raise enough money to endow at least one
more. Donations to the Alpha Nu Centennial
Scholarship Fund are tax deductible and can be
paid out annually for up to five years through the
Alpha Chi Omega Foundation. To donate online,
