Strong Panhellenic
• Today, KU sororities and fraternities represent 21% of the
undergraduate student population. Each of the 11 sororities on
campus have memberships of over 200 women.
• This strong community has a shared commitment to academic
achievement, civic and community engagement, diversity and
inclusivity, personal and professional development, and holistic
wellness, with a goal of developing individuals who will make a
positive contribution to society as a whole.
• Sororities are supported by KU Administration, and the KU
Panhellenic Association consistently provides meaningful
structure and guidance. Kappa Alpha Theta continues to be a
leader among these organizations.
How Does Kappa Chapter Stack Up?
• Kappa Chapter consistently meets quota every year and has an
impressively high retention rate.
• Theta has more members living in than any other house.
Our entire sophomore pledge class and a good number of
upperclassmen live-in and continue their bonding experience,
which is a competitive advantage.
• Most sororities and fraternities at KU have recently undergone
significant renovations, with some completing multiple updates.
Additionally, many of these organizations have active fundraising
campaigns to support ongoing renovation efforts.
