2023 Gravette Community Guide | 7 Gravette Chamber annual Gala By Karen Rice e Greater Gravette Chamber of Commerce will be holding its Annual Chamber Gala on ursday, April 27. is year's theme is "Nashville Nights." e event will be hosted by Ozarks Community Hospital, and will be held in the hospital's new Annex Building. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. e Chamber expects 300 guests to attend the Gala this year. Guests will enjoy appetizers and a sit-down dinner, and exciting door prizes will be announced through the evening. is year's menu will include tri-tip, chicken quarters, roasted potatoes with onions, green beans, roll and assorted deserts, all prepared by OCH's Chef Chris Shioyama. "I love going to the Gala, it is a time for us to get together and celebrate Gravette, our local businesses and the success of our community," said Sundee Hendren, Gravette Chamber of Commerce Treasurer. Dwayne Craig will return as auctioneer for the live pie auction – a beloved Gala event that always involves lively bidding, lots of fun, and successful fundraising. "Last year we had 44 pies, cakes and cinnamon rolls auctioned off to help us raise $12,000," Hendren said. e top bidder was Russ Davis, who bought cinnamon rolls made by the Billy V Hall Senior Center. Various awards will be announced at the Gala, including Business of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Member of the Year and the Gravette Pioneer Award. Nominations for the various awards are received by the Chamber, and the top five nominees in each category are placed on a ballot and the public votes for their choices in the six weeks leading up to the event. Last year's Pioneer Award Winners were Dodie and Louise Evens, who owned and operated the Gravette News Herald from 1964 until 1986.
