6 | 2023 Gravette Community Guide Hidden Falls Wedding venue: a labor of love By Randy Rice Special to Gravette Community Guide "Hidden Falls was inspired by the movie Field of Dreams," began Karen Furlow, who with her husband, Charles, owns and operates Hidden Falls Wedding Venue in Gravette. "It was motivated by that quote 'Build it, and they will come.' With a lot of passion and hard work we built it and, yes, the couples are coming." One look at the spectacular natural setting and it's easy to see why. Just minutes from Bentonville, Rogers and Siloam Springs, and 10 miles from the Missouri and Oklahoma state lines, Hidden Falls is an ideal location to host every special event, from weddings and receptions to class reunions and corporate retreats. "It's a unique little venue, and all of the photographers love it," Furlow continued. "ey get some really awesome photos!" Just a short drive down a lovely wooded lane leads you to the naturally beautiful venue that boasts several 30-foot high waterfalls, a babbling brook and 100-foot tall trees. ere is also a nearly 3,000-sq. . rustic romantic barn which can accomodate 175 guests or host a sit-down reception for up to 150. A Hidden Halls wedding day package includes the climate- controlled reception and event hall, tables and chairs, table linens and chair covers, dressing rooms, catering area, refrigerator, freezer, restrooms, and a sound system. "e original concept for Hidden Falls was to have only an outdoor venue," Furlow said. "But we felt like it would be a good idea to have an alternative plan in case of inclement weather." is proved to be a wise choice, since the first wedding they hosted in October of last year was rained on. e 140-guest event was moved inside. Everyone, including the Furlows, was very happy to have an indoor/outdoor venue option. "Hidden Falls is family owned and operated, and we are dedicated to making your event a special one," Furlow said. "is natural backdrop will leave you with lasting impressions and a lifetime of memories." e Furlow family moved to Gravette nearly 70 years ago and has served the town with a long line of businesses, including cafes, a drug store, outlet store, garment factory, grocery store, roller rink and a bowling alley. "Small town America is a great place to live and raise your family," Furlow said. "We love Gravette and hopefully we will keep adding more things that complement our community. As for their latest commercial venture, they are equally enthusiastic. ""Our business is celebrating people who are in love. And who doesn't love love?"
