Delta Delta Delta page 3 With the momentum from a strong fall recruitment, Delta Mu is having a great year! Philanthropy Successes We have raised over $92,000 and counting for St. Jude with philanthropy events like $15K in a Day, Gameday Giveback, and Sweat for St. Jude (with Tyler Cameron from The Bachelor!). Recently, 140 members went on our first trip to St. Jude in Memphis since the pandemic began, where we toured the hospital and Tri Delta Place. It was humbling to see all our hard work come to fruition at this crucial organization. Delta Mu also began a partnership with Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter, establishing our Chapter's first local philanthropy. We look forward to working with them more this spring and holding our traditional philanthropy events like Delta House of Pancakes and Jam for St. Jude. Sisterhood Bonding We have hosted numerous sisterhood events, including goat yoga, "New Bids on the Block," a pool party, art classes, Tri Delta Founder's Day dinner, our annual Good as Gold sisterhood party, and Galentine's dinner at the house. In addition to sisterhood events, we had date parties such as our Holidate party in December and a Delta Mu Year's cocktail in January; we will finish out the semester with two more this spring. Academics and Ac vi es Together, we increased our Chapter GPA to 3.52, which is higher than the all- Greek, all-Panhellenic, and all-women averages on campus! In addition, more sisters are getting involved on campus: Delta Mu is proud to have a new Capstone Woman, Emmerson Hart '21; a new Greek Ambassador, Alli Hill '22; a UA Western Equestrian team member, Olivia Altamirano '22; and three members running for SGA positions this spring. Delta Mu implemented a new slate of collegiate leaders as well; 19 new officers will begin a new term in April. Can You Help? Delta Mu will host four recruitment workshops this spring, and the recruitment team would love to hear from any alumnae who know potential new members. I am so proud of all that our Chapter has and will continue to accomplish and am excited about the future of Delta Mu. Leading the Delta Mu Chapter has been my favorite part of college, and I am excited for our new president, Ava Ault '20, and her team to begin leading later this spring.
