Theta Gamma
F
ollowing some unusual times surrounding Covid-19, we are
happy to report that Theta Gamma is buzzing with activity
and the chapter house is looking better than ever!
2022 proved to be a busy year for house updates, and we can't
thank Melanie Skaggs Russell '79 and Jill Chaffin Splitt '86
enough for their hard work as decorators.
We have updated furniture, rugs, and art in both the formal and
informal living rooms, new chandeliers by the entrance and
front stairs, new tile and hardwood flooring in some spaces, and
a completely remodeled east bathroom to match the previously
redone west bathroom.
That wasn't all, though; our decorators made sure to update Delta
Beach, rearrange and organize our mailroom and storage areas,
take inventory of things like dishware in the house, and even
work on major repairs to the house director quarters. The list
of updates goes on, but we are most impressed by the ability to
accomplish all this without using campaign money and while still
performing regular maintenance as necessary!
Speaking of a house director, we are proud to introduce Jessica
Terry into this role! With management experience in both the
food and daycare industries, Jessica has moved from Georgia and
is glad to utilize her skills with Theta Gamma.
We are striving to take care of the house as best we can, and we
hope you read more about our major renovation plans further in
this issue.

New furniture and rugs make the inside of our house more welcoming than ever. Here's a look at one of the house's bedrooms.
Our decorators did a fantastic job with the house's atmosphere. Even the outside of the house is looking great!
