TA U K A P PA E P S I L O N E P S I L O N C H A P T E R I O W A S TAT E U N I V E R S I T Y S P R I N G 2 0 2 3 THE CHIMES Securing Epsilon's Legacy Epsilon Chapter recently celebrated a record-breaking fundraising campaign! With the support of 202 members and friends, the Chapter raised over $5.4 million since the campaign began in winter 2018, smashing our initial goal of $4.5 million. Fraters and friends showed their commitment to the Chapter by pledging over $3.5 million for the Chapter remodel and over $1.6 million for the scholarship endowment. To date, almost 90% of donations have been collected, and pledges are on track to be fulfilled. The Chapter ended the building campaign with a $700,000 mortgage, which was the target goal. Chapter Advisor Millard R. "Spike" Kratochvil believed that "recruitment is the lifeblood of the fraternity." This remodeling project and the growing scholarship fund serve as testaments to this belief and will help attract the talented men TKE needs to lead it into the future. The newly remodeled academic and living quarters provide a supportive and stimulating environment for learning and growth, while the scholarships provide over $100,000 annually to deserving Tekes. Epsilon Chapter's achievement in raising over $5 million in a single campaign is a remarkable feat and will be a source of pride in the TKE community for years to come. What Happens Now?! As we enter our 108th year of developing leaders, Epsilon Chapter is focused on continuing its successful growth. To pay off the remaining mortgage and grow the scholarship endowment, the Chapter has transitioned to an annual fundraising campaign. Alumni and friends of TKE can donate to either the mortgage for the building project or the scholarship fund, both of which are vested at the Iowa State University Foundation.
