E
psilon Chapter has had many triumphs in the
last year.
COMING OUT ON TOP
We won our 26th Top TKE award and continued an
impressive 11-win streak. Our academics have been strong
as well—in the fall 2022 semester, we had 31 members make
the Dean's list, which is more than a third of our Chapter!
SERVING THE COMMUNITY…
As a Chapter dedicated to service, we have raised many
dollars for St. Jude. Our fall philanthropy event raised
$3,648 and had 680 attendees. We have yet to do our spring
philanthropy, but we expect a similar turnout. Our semester
total from fall 2022, assisted by individual fundraising,
reached $11,000.
…AND OTHERS ON CAMPUS
We have several Fraters volunteering their time:
• Frater Nathan Wetzel '21 E-2397 is the director
of Greek Week, an event similar to Veisha and
Homecoming.
• Fraters Preston Greiner '20 E-2403 and Luke
Niemann '22 E-2421 are exceptional leaders in the
classroom, both being teaching assistants in difficult
engineering courses.
• Frater Jack Kruse '19 E-2377 is the president of an
on-campus organization called Students for St. Jude.
At the end of each semester, Jack organizes an event
with his members on the board called Up 'til Dawn.
During this event, we raise the most money for St.
Jude outside of our own philanthropies. Each year, our
Chapter has the biggest turnout.
EXPANDING THE BROTHERHOOD
This year, we are trying to reach out to more TKE Chapters.
One event that we are very excited about is a joint-
brotherhood weekend with the Lambda-Eta Chapter in
Iowa City. We are hoping to form lifelong bonds with other
Fraters in our state and make connections that could be
helpful in the future.
Yours in the Bond,
Dylan Anderson '22 E-2432
