ENTRE NOUS P i B e t a P h i a t t h e U n i v e r s i t y o f S o u t h e r n C a l i f o r n i a • S p r i n g 2 0 2 3 MAKE YOUR PLANS NOW TO JOIN US IN MAY Celebrating 50 Years of Friendships in Our Pi Phi Home A s we approach the 50 th anniversary of building our beautiful California Gamma house at 667 W. 28th Street, I think of all the lifelong friendships that have been made. e paths Pi Phi carved for our alumnae and the special bonds we feel toward the time we spent together as sisters cannot be duplicated. College friendships are the first relationships that we choose to seek out on our own. We found these treasured friends because we shared the same feelings of excitement and nerves of being out in the college world when we landed on the USC campus. e Pi Phi house was our home away from home. Oh, if those walls could talk! e memories are nostalgic and ones that we all treasure for a lifetime. How can it be that my group of seven sisters in my text message labeled "Pi Phi Gals" has stayed so close over three decades? We don't see each other often, yet if there's good news or bad, we all go to our "Pi Phi Gals" text to share our news. We give our condolences, our congratulations, and sometimes unsolicited opinions! If one of our children (there's 18 between us) attends a school that plays USC, all but one root for our Trojans! Why am I writing about the nostalgia of USC and California Gamma? We have BIG plans for the 50 th anniversary celebration! We are planning an incredible luncheon on Tuesday, May 23, at the Pi Phi house. Please look for invitations in your mailbox. More information can be found on the back page of this newsletter as well as on the alumnae Facebook page. It will be a day to remember! Invite and come with your own "Pi Phi Gals" and make new ones!
