Making the Most of Brotherhood H appy New Year from the brothers of Theta Delta! The summer and fall of 2022 were very eventful for our Alpha. We had 44 brothers live-in over the summer, and they all had a blast during these warmer months. Some exciting activities we participated in included cross- pledge class grab-a-dates and campfires in the backyard, but the highlight of our summer was the main camping trip to Mt. Hood. We all drove down to our private campsite in Oregon and had a great time bonding, playing games, and sitting by the fire. While there, we enjoyed a whitewater rafting tour down the White Salmon River. Another summer event was Convention, which our president, external vice president, treasurer, and sergeant-at-arms attended. We had a great time at Alpha Xi Delta in Lubbock, Texas, meeting all the other leaders from Alphas across the nation. The black-tie banquet dinner, where we had the opportunity to meet some great alumni in attendance, was a main highlight. Throughout the fall quarter, we hosted many game days. Our annual parents' game day welcomed families to the Lodge to celebrate a win against Arizona. We also hosted alumni for the game against Colorado, which was one of our first alumni events since the start of COVID-19. It was great to meet alumni and learn about their days at the Lodge. We had a strong close to the fall quarter and look forward to what 2023 has in store for our Alpha. The recruitment environment continues to change, and while this past year has been different than what we are used to, our recruitment chairmen recruited a great group of men over the summer and fall. We are continuing to evolve our recruitment strategy with changes at UW and plan to recruit throughout the year with both a fall and a spring class. We wish you and your family a happy and healthy start to 2023! YITB, Trent Yeh '24 Alpha President Alpha Theta Delta Members Bond During a Fun-Filled Fall
